Bedford hair salon makes tearful statement over coronavirus

Silks Hair Beauty & Tanning in Bedford has issued an emotional statement about its closure during the lockdown.

Through its website and on its Facebook page, the family-run salon in Lime Street asked the public to support each other during this difficult time and hoped this would be the motivation we need to be nicer.

The Silks family praised staff and customers and were particularly worried about their older clientele.

"We can ring we can write a letter. Just check on people" they said.
