Figures from Public Health England show a breakdown of coronavirus cases in Bedford for seven days up to May 6.

Most areas of the borough have experienced a slight rise in cases but in some wards - namely Harpur, Bromham, Kingsbrook and Elstow - cases over a seven-day period have gone into double figures.

On Friday (May 7), Bedford Today revealed seven cases of the Indian variant had been identified in the town which may account for the rise.
