Bedford residents offered free gym passes

Fusion Lifestyle - which runs a whole host of leisure facilities in the town for Bedford Borough Council - is offering free gym passes until the start of January.

It operates Robinson Pools & Fitness, John Bunyan Sports & Fitness, Bedford International Athletics Stadium and Mowbury Golf & Squash Centre and is making the offer to all Bedford residents.

Earlier this year, Bedford Today had reported how the leisure sector had been hit hard by the pandemic - with Fusion-run facilities struggling due to the lockdown.But Fusion is encouraging all residents to try out their facilities and claim a free gym pass, which is available now until Monday, January 4.

Visits will need to be booked via the Fusion Lifestyle app to ensure all centres can continue to operate in line with government guidelines.

You'll be be asked to arrive in your usual fitness gear, to streamline the contact process and keep customers safe.

Anthony Cawley, director of operations at Fusion Lifestyle, said: “There has never been a more important time to look after the health and wellbeing of our local communities and we’ve taken this small step to encourage residents to come into one of our centres for a complimentary visit on us.

"We want to remind them what’s on their doorstep, show them how safe their centre is and help them to enjoy being active.”
