Bedford mum-of-four's marathon effort for Guinness World Record

When it comes to raising cash for needy children, it's no puzzle for running addict Nikki Horner.

As the mum-of-four from Wootton is preparing to enter the Virgin London Marathon AND the Guinness World Records too - dressed as a Rubik's Cube.

Nikki - a learning support assistant at special needs school Grange Academy in Kempston - is hoping to raise vital cash for the Whizz-Kidz charity, which provides disabled children with essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.

“I started running in 2013 after I put a bit of weight on after a major operation 18 months previously. I had a full hysterectomy after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer," said Nikki.

"Now, I have now run three marathons London, Milton Keynes & Manchester."

The Virgin London Marathon takes place on Sunday, April 26.
