Councillor Sue Clark, executive member for families, education and children, said: “We want to make sure that families have the necessary information to enable them to make an informed choice regarding their child’s education.

“Last year, a high percentage of families in Central Bedfordshire got their first preference of primary or lower school (95 per cent), middle school (89 per cent), upper school (97 per cent) or secondary school (95.5 per cent).

“We would encourage parents and carers to apply for a school place using our online application system. It’s a quick and simple process that allows applications to be reviewed or amended at any time until the deadline date.”
