University’s Olympic recruitment drive

OLYMPIC organisers grilled hundreds of University of Bedfordshire students last month, during a recruitment drive for next year’s Games.

More than 300 students at the Bedford and Luton campuses were interviewed by staff from The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and Luton-based security firm A1 Security Services.

University Recruitment Services Manager, Priya Chauhan said: “The University is delighted to be involved in recruitment for London 2012. This is an opportunity for students to gain some work experience at a unique prestigious event.”

The successful applicants have now begun their training.
