School closed today following power cut in Oakley

People are being urged to avoid the area

Lincroft Academy has temporarily closed today (Tuesday) due to a power cut in Oakley.

UK Power Networks is currently on site to deal with the issue.

Today was a transition day meaning young people from feeder schools across the area were supposed to visit.

In a post on Twitter, Bedford Borough Council said: “If your child was meant to be visiting Lincroft Academy today, this will no longer be possible

“We ask that you avoid the area and await further information from the school.”
