With families across the UK stuck at home looking for ways to entertain the children, online discount toy store Bargain Max launched an arts and crafts talent competition for kids.

And two sisters from Bedford have made the final 15 - out of more than 500 entries.

Mum Aisha Hussain revealed her two children - Madina, five, and Ariana, three - both had their birthdays in lockdown last month.

She said: "We decided as we can't do some of our usually fun outings such as the cinema, we would bring the cinema to us. We made an indoor cinema with tickets, kiosk, screen times, snacks to hot food."

The overall winner will be announced on Wednesday, June 3, which will be decided by a craft industry judge.

A Bargain Max spokesman said: “We have been overwhelmed by the quality of entries into our national competition. Lockdown has shown the creative talent that children have, and it was really tough shortlisting the entries down to just 15.”
