Bedford family make a fairy trail to keep youngsters entertained

If you go down to the woods today, you are sure of a big surprise.

As Vivienne Kumar and her two daughters have made a fairy trail to keep themselves entertained - and what's more, the whole community is now getting involved.

The woods - at the bottom of Southfields Community Centre, in Kempston - are the location of the Kumars daily walk.

Vivienne said: "My daughters like to visit Bromham Mill and the fairy trail there. They have been missing it - so we decided to make one of our own and maybe the fairy will visit."

And Kyra, four, and Khloe, aged three, have been adding fairies along with author mum Vivienne everyday for a month.

"It's survived the wind and the rain. Every day we go on our walk and add a bit. We have even put up signs."

But what they didn't expect was for other members of the community to get involved.

"It's keeping the kids busy during the day. So many people have added to it. It's become a community thing," said Vivienne, of Cherry Walk, Kempston.

"Everybody has contributed. It's very nice. The fairy trail is secluded. It's nice and quiet."
