BBC awards at university

SPORTS champions and unsung heroes from across the region will be recognised at the University of Bedfordshire next month.

The BBC East Sports Awards are to be held at the Bedford campus on December 8.

BBC Look East presenter Stewart White will host the event.

Professor Les Ebdon, vice-chancellor of the university, said: “We are delighted and excited to be working with the BBC on staging these awards.

“Our professionally-equipped theatre which seats 280 people will ensure the audience has a fantastic experience.”
