Bedford venues prepare for one of the busiest Halloween weekends yet
Halloween is just around the corner, and Bedford is pulling out all the stops. With events ranging from child-friendly workshops to all-night parties, residents won’t be short of ways to celebrate this October.
On Friday, October 31, two of Bedford’s most anticipated events are taking place. Lagos Rooftop Lounge will host Ghosted….. Left On Read, an 18+ late-night party running until 4 am, while The Compasses on High Street will stage its Super Spooky Secret Garden Party from 5 pm–9 pm, offering a lighter but no less festive alternative.
Further afield, Milton Keynes will see Dizzee Rascal’s Halloween Takeover at Arena MK and a Spooky Hairbraid Workshop at Willen Cafe for families earlier in the week. For those after live music, TNT: A Tribute to ACDC is set to rock MK Sports Bar, and Crown Henlow will host a Monster Mash Fundraiser with a community twist.
Statistics show just how significant Halloween has become in the UK. According to Statista, 44% of households now take part in Halloween activities, with consumer spending expected to top £1 billion in 2025, as reported by VisitBritain. A large share of this spending goes into events, parties, and themed nights out. In Bedford, this demand is clear. Skiddle reports that some Halloween events in the town are already among the fastest-selling listings in the East of England.

Nationwide data also shows that more than 30% of UK adults aged 18–34 plan a night out for Halloween, making it one of the busiest dates of the nightlife calendar (YouGov). For local businesses and venues, this surge in attendance offers both economic benefits and the chance to strengthen Bedford’s reputation as a cultural hub.
Beyond the entertainment, Halloween in Bedford is also about community. Businesses, including The Green Tanners and The Master Tanners, have lent their backing to seasonal activities, underlining how enterprises contribute to the festive atmosphere.
So whether you’re planning a night out in fancy dress, taking the kids for a creative workshop, or looking for live music, Bedford’s Halloween calendar is stacked with options. Residents are encouraged to check Skiddle and individual venue pages for tickets before they sell out.
With UK participation at record highs and local venues pulling together such a diverse line-up, Bedford is setting the stage for one of its liveliest Halloween weekends yet.
