Tech-age accountancy service in Bedford through to business award finals

Soaring Falcon, an international tech-age accountancy service based in Bedford, is through to the finals in two categories of the SME Business Awards.
The firm has been shortlisted in the Business of the Year and Business Innovation of the Year elements of the Olympian Productions Luton & Bedfordshire 2020 awards.

Hide AdA fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants, Alex Falcon Huerta had the foresight to see how technology could revolutionise bookkeeping long before the current Covid crisis forced firms forward.
The former Bedford College studentsaid: “As a young trainee in a traditional firm, I heard about a product from New Zealand called Xero which would streamline financial systems and enable businesses to better plan for the future."
Soaring Falcon has since won multi awards including British Accountancy Awards Winners - Best New Practice, and was crowned Xero’s: Most Valued Professional.
Alex, 39, was born in Bedford to a Peruvian father and Spanish mother who met, ironically, at a Bedford College English class.

Hide AdWhen she and her siblings were young, the family moved to Peru, but Alex returned with a her mother to live in Castle Lane - just a few yards from where her office is now in Marks Mews business centre.
