Now Argos joins the seasonal Christmas jobs rush with vacancies across Beds, Bucks and Herts

High street retailer Argos is recruiting 321 seasonal workers across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire in the run up to Christmas.

It follows announcements from John Lewis and Amazon who are also recruiting thousands of extra workers across the country.

Argos is recruiting 89 people across Bucks, including Milton Keynes, 82 in Bedfordshire and 150 in Hertfordshire.

It is part of a national recruitment of around 10,000 seasonal workers to join its existing 30,000 strong store teams across the UK.

Initial contracts are for around three months, with the potential for some roles to become permanent at the end of the season, where vacancies exist.

Argos managing director John Walden said: “As we approach our busiest shopping period of the year, we need the extra support in our stores from enthusiastic colleagues to ensure that we continue to deliver brilliant customer service to the millions that shop with us at this time of year. We are looking for people who are customer focussed, passionate and enthusiastic to join our teams.”
