New fund-raising golf day backs Bedfordshire hospice

A NEW charity golf day in September will raise money for Keech Hospice and its palliative care team.

Keech is this year celebrating its 21st birthday and Premier Newspapers’ titles across Bedfordshire are backing the event on Friday, September 21.

Lucy Mawdsley, the Premier and Northamptonshire Events Manager for the newspaper group said: “We have been successfully organising an event like this for six years in Northamptonshire and have raised over £25,000 for a local hospice charity.

“Our aim is to make the Keech one at Tilsworth as successful, and establish it as a special “fun and giving day” in Bedfordshire’s calendar.

“After a tour of the Keech Hospice recently, we are delighted to be supporting this very special cause and look forward to meeting the many supporters of this charity at the event.”

Premier Newspapers publishes the Beds Times & Citizen, Luton News, Biggleswade Chronicle, Leighton Buzzard Observer, the Herald and Post and the Dunstable Gazette.

There will be a shot gun start at Tilsworth Golf Club, between Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard, at 1pm on the day.
