New gym opens in Bedford town centre

A new gym is opening its doors in Bedford's town centre today (Friday).

Energie Fitness, Bedford, will be located in the basement of the Harpur Centre, the unit was created by combining the old Café and the basement storage units.

The opening has created seven local jobs and career opportunities, supported by the energie Group.

As a franchise busines, énergie Fitness, Bedford is locally owned by partners Jake and Francine Amos and as a family business, they are dedicated to looking after their members with customer service at the core of everything they do.

Jake said: “One of our key strengths will be how we make the member feel and to ensure they get the most from their experience with us.

"When a member walks in, they will be greeted by a friendly smile and that person will know the member by their name and, over time, what their own individual goal is.

"That’s the level of personal service we aim to achieve.”

The gym will offer a variety of cardio equipment, free weights, personal trainers, resistance equipment and classes.

Energie Fitness members will benefit from two hours free parking in the Harpur Centre car park, ideal for rainy days meaning members don’t need to brave the outside elements when they want to train.

The gym will be open seven days a week, including bank holidays:

- Monday to Friday: 6am-10pm

- Weekends and bank holidays: 8am-8pm
