Escape Room in Bedford wins Tripadvisor award

An Escape Room in Bedford has been awarded Tripadvisor's Traveller's Choice Award for 2020.

The owners of Don't Get Locked In, in Allhallows, were thrilled to receive the award, which is awarded to attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked with the top 10 per cent of properties on Tripadvisor.

Cathy Wright, owner of the escape room experience, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the Traveller’s Choice Award for 2020, myself, my husband Marcus - designer of the escape rooms and staff have worked incredibly hard to bring a memorable experience to our players.

"From the unique room design, right through to our very own Don’t Get Locked Gin and bar area The Lock In Lounge.

"We are bringing the biggest and only licensed escape room experience to Bedford Town Centre and of course without our customers who have taken the time to review us on Tripadvisor this award wouldn’t be possible."

A phased, cautious approach was taken for the reopening of the escape rooms due to Coronavirus and the high infection rate at the time in Bedford and they will have all 6 of the themed rooms open by the end of August, ‘Gin & Panic’, ‘Extortion’, ‘The Secret Hut’, ‘Return To The Rock’, ‘The Vault’ and ‘Audacious’ which is an unusually lengthy escape room experience at 120 minutes rather than the usual 60 minute game.

The family-run escape room business has been operating for nearly two years and moved to Bedford earlier this year.
