Debenhams announces last day for Bedford store

Debenhams has confirmed that 27 of its stores in England and Wales will close for the final time on Sunday, May 2, and Tuesday, May 4.

Shoppers will find discounts of up to 80% off fashion and home and up to 70% off beauty and fragrance in these 27 stores - including Bedford - as they clear the last remaining stock.

Debenhams in Bedford will close on Tuesday, May 4.

The remaining stores are expected to close by Saturday, May 15.

All Debenhams stores have been made Covid-secure, with appropriate hygiene and social distancing measures in place.

A spokesperson for Debenhams said: “With such great bargains on offer, it’s no wonder our stock is selling out incredibly fast.

"Time is running out for shoppers to take advantage of the incredible discounts being offered at these 27 stores.”
