Bedford's Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown hosts online charity quiz

Dust off your general knowledge and join the teacher turned celebrity cook and pub owner tonight (Friday) as she hosts 'The Big Quiz', a virtual fundraising event for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Children's Charity.

Candice Brown, a GOSH charity ambassador, will be hosting the online quiz at 7pm, organised by Whitbread and Premier Inn restaurants in aid of its longstanding charity partner.

The Big Quiz features celebrity specialist rounds and prizes galore, with people tuning in virtually from across the country.

Supported by all of Whitbread’s restaurant and hotel brands, it’s set to be a fantastic community moment that raises funds for a brilliant cause.

Candice Brown said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of the Big Quiz in support of GOSH Charity.

"If you’re anything like me you’ve spent recent weeks brushing up on your quizzing skills and learning facts ready to wow your friends and family during that general knowledge round!

"Taking part in The Big Quiz with many others logged on virtually gives a real a sense of community which is so important right now, and from having previously visited the hospital and met the children it cares for I know just what an impact all your donations will have, especially at a time like this.

!So, join me on Friday 8th May for the Big Quiz in aid of GOSH Charity, raise funds and have a brilliant evening!”

The Big Quiz is hosted weekly across the Facebook pages for all of the Whitbread restaurant brands and Premier Inn throughout the month of May, and each week will see specialist rounds hosted by different special guests.

Prizes include restaurant vouchers and weekend breaks - for once the lockdown lifts.

All donations to GOSH Charity through the Big Quiz will help support Great Ormond Street Hospital, and will make a huge difference to seriously ill children from across the UK who are treated at GOSH.
