Midas Pattern Company has been rewarded with not one, but two energy and sustainability nominations with the Energy Institute and MAKEuk.

The Bedford company - on the Elms Farm Industrial Estate - is hoping to lead the charge on responsible and sustainable manufacturing.

And after a huge amount of effort and investment - including the installation of a new energy efficient compressor and 650 PV solar panels - Midas has now reduced its CO 2 emissions sufficiently to be classed as carbon neutral.

And as the moulding company celebrates more than 30 years in business, the 75-strong staff have their fingers crossed for the award finals in October.
