BUSINESSES and individuals looking to invest in their future in 2011 can find out about the range of professional development course available at University of Bedfordshire open days in January.

The university’s range of internationally recognised training and continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities are aimed at managers, staff and business owners who wish to develop their skills, acquire new qualifications to improve performance or increase employability.

Open days are on Wednesday, January 19, at the Park Square campus, in Luton and on Thursday January 20 at Polhill campus, in Bedford. Both open days are run from 6-8pm.

Courses include project management and sales and marketing.

Language for business courses are available in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish and Russian.

Bespoke courses can be provided across a broad range of subjects and even as distance learning courses.

John Sentinella, business development manager, at the university said: “In the current economic climate businesses need to ensure that their staff are well trained and are up to date with the latest processes to remain competitive. Individuals need to be able to offer potential employers competency and the most up to date qualifications. We’d like to see as many businesses and individuals as possible in the Bedfordshire area take the opportunity to invest in their futures in 2011 by continuing their professional development.”
