Whether you’re a keen walker or you simply enjoy an occasional stroll in the summer sunshine, the weekend long event at Hertfordshire’s Lemsford-based company will offer something for everyone and give you the chance to sample Spanish music and regional presentations together with paella, wine and culture.

Ramblers Worldwide Holidays offer activity vacations to suit all levels of walking experience and fitness, from very leisurely with the emphasis on culture gastronomy and sightseeing, right through to very challenging where mountains are on the menu!

And as if that were not enough, RWH have entered the winter wonderland market by introducing a selection of walks in the snow-covered scenery of countries like Andorra, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland and Turkey.

However on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29, the company – which is located in the pretty village of Lemsford close to Welwyn Garden City – will feature Spain and its island territories as its theme.

Sponsored in conjunction with the Spanish Tourist Board, the weekend will give visitors chance to say ‘Hola’ – the ‘h’ is always silent while ‘Ola’ means wave! – while taking a guided walk along the ‘Camino de Lemsford’ which translates as the banks of the beautiful River Lea close to the picturesque Brockett Hall estate.

The event also presents a great opportunity for guests to chat to representatives from the Balearics, the Canary Islands, Catalonia, Andalucia and Murcia and to glean more information about these fascinating regions and islands.

The ‘Taste of Spain WalkFest’ takes place in the grounds of Lemsford village’s stunning watermill for an adult entry fee of £6.50 (children under 16 are free as is car parking). It includes a tasty Paella meal and Tapas supplied by the renowned London restaurant chain Iberica – http://www.ibericalondon.co.uk – plus a glass of a Spanish wine to wash it all down while listening to traditional music.

Also included in the price after lunch will be the option to go on a guided four-mile stroll through rolling Hertfordshire countryside while crossing the Brocket Estate and then return to Lemsford Mill along the Ayot Greenway.

Among the invited guests are the London-based Spanish Ambassador for the UK while attendees booking a holiday to Spain or her islands at the event on, or by, the 28 July 2014 will be eligible for a £50 per person discount.
