Poldark star to launch Ampthill Literary Festival

Poldark star Robert Daws is headlining the start of the annual Ampthill Literary Festival on April 21 with a beer and books night at the Parkside Hall, Ampthill.

Robert, star of The Royal and most recently BBC’s smash revival of Poldark, will take to the stage with wife, and fellow The Royal actress Amy Robbins to perform an extract taken from Ampthill based author Philip Whiteley’s new romantic comedy ‘Close Of Play’.

Whiteley will this time be writing under his fiction nom-de-plume, PJ Whiteley.

The first ‘Beer & Books’ event is at 8pm at The Ampthill Cricket Pavilion with the main Literary Festival taking place at Parkside Hall on July 11. Visit: https://amplitfest.wordpress.com/
