Richard said: “I am principally a landscape painter. I go out in search of light.

“These prints are from paintings I made directly from the subject as it is the experience of being there within a place that gives rise to the best possibility of catching the essence of place.”

He also talked about some of his past pieces.

Richard added: “The Grail has many forms and in this instance it is the light translated into paint. This requires an intuitive subtlety partnered with the robust force to seize the moment.”

His drawings are the first to be available for purchase directly from an artist working in the grounds of Woburn Abbey.
