Held in the beautiful grounds of Shuttleworth, the show gives the county the opportunity to showcase its acts in the main arena and try their hand at sports and activities.

On Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, the main arena welcomes a welsh axeman with over 30 years’ experience, a sheep dog display that will invite children to get involved and the chance to see a vast range of animals from eagles and falcons to horses and racing terriers.

Elsewhere throughout the day there is a giant marquee of over 100ft full of crafts and food to enjoy as well as carriage driving and a shetland and pony show.

And if you’re out with the whole family, why not bring your dog along too to be in with a chance of winning some top prizes?

Canine Partners are hosting The Companion Dog show (held under Kennel Club Regulations), which will be open for registration from 10am with judging from 1pm, registration and all classes are free of charge.

Entry into The Bedfordshire County Show also includes free admission into The Bird of Prey Centre and The Shuttleworth Collection.

So make sure you visit Old Warden Park, near Biggleswade, at the weekend.
