HULA Animal Rescue to reopen after temporary closure

The HULA Animal Rescue Centre at Aspley Guise was forced to close today following tests on an unwell animal. The centre was closed temporarily as a precautionary measure but has now been given the all clear and is set to re-open tomorrow (Tuesday, June 2).

The closure sparked concern with messages and offers of help posted on social media sites earlier today.

In response a statement on HULA’s Facebook page says:

Dear All,”HULA Animal Rescue would like to sincerely thank each and every person that has contacted us offering help and sending such kind & generous messages of support.

We would like to take this opportunity to allay your worries and advise that a decision was taken to close the centre temporarily as a precautionary measure.

On Sunday 31st May an animal in our care was unwell and after consultation with our Vet it was decided to temporarily close the site whilst tests were carried out.

We are pleased to say that all tests are clear and there is no cause for concern, the animal that we were concerned about is receiving the appropriate medical care and we are hoping for a full recovery.

Our Veterinary Practice have given HULA the all clear to re-open as normal on Tuesday 2nd June 2015.
