The Amici Singers are to perform at Dunton Parish Church on Saturday June 27.

The concert is the final leg of the summer tour which has seen them perform across the UK and in Germany.

Concert goers will be able to hear highlights from the music which was performed in Germany and Lytham, Lancashire as well as selections from Gershwin and Jerome Kern which showcase the lighter side of the Amici Singers.

It brings an end to a busy five weeks for the group. In the last week of May the choir toured the Harz region in the east of Germany.

Maggie Vicarage from the group said: “This was a very successful six day tour which included two formal benefit concerts, a music workshop for schoolchildren, visits to churches.

“It gave them not only the opportunity to sing ‘a capella’ but also for them to listen to some wonderful organ music played by the multi-talented Trevor Hughes; he accompanies the Amici Singers and drives the coach too.”

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £8 for adults and free for children under 16.

The group is also looking for new members with no auditions. Rehearsals are held at St Peter’s Catholic Church.
