However they had to come back from a goal down against Southern League cup holders Biggleswade Town to lift the 104 year old trophy thanks to a sublime second half performance that belied their SSML Division One status.
The Waders had the ball in Dan Green’s net after just two minutes but Harry Hunt’s effort was quickly ruled offside. However there was no doubt when Craig Daniel lashed home an 18th minute opener following a diagonal 40 yard crossfield pass from teammate Ashley Fuller.

The equaliser arrived ten minutes in with Stu Reynolds passing inside for Seb Simpson whose shot went in off Town keeper Sam Leggett’s upright. Then when Biggleswade’s Peter Gatti lost possession, Peacock put Cranfield 2-1 up with a cracking solo finish.
Moments later Peacock pulled the ball back for Sam Evans whose rasping drive gave Leggett no chance for 3-1 while a diving header 20 minutes from time sealed Cranfield’s magnificent 4-1 victory.
