Hunt on for next next county star
Coaching courses are being offered to budding young cricketers in an attempt to unearth the next Alastair Cook or Monty Panesar.

Sessions which will start as early as next week and run until mid-March and are aimed at youngsters between the ages of seven and 16.

All courses are run by experienced ECB coaches and beginners are welcome, with equipment provided.

The U8 course will be run by Will Sneath every Sunday evening from 4.30pm to 6pm between January 6 and March 16 (excluding March 9) at Alameda School Hall in Ampthill.

Howard Moxon will take charge of the U10 section which runs from January 6 to March 9 at Flitwick Leisure Centre on Sunday evenings between 4pm to 5.30pm.

Meanwhile, John Wakely will oversee the U12, U14 and U16 sessions, all of which take place at Marston Vale Middle School in Stewartby.

The U12s will meet on Friday evenings between January 4 and March 14 (excluding February 15) from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Straight afterwards, it will be the U14s turn between 8pm and 9.30pm.
Last but not least the U16 category will meet between January 9 and March 19 (excluding February 13) from 7pm to 8.30pm.
