Castle Comedy has a big month planned for July, with two shows ready to get Bedford audiences laughing.

First up is an Edinburgh Preview Special at The Gordon Arm Ent Shed on July 9 before the Best Of Castle Comedy at The Quarry Theatre as part of the Bedfringe festival on July 30.

On July 9 two acts showcase their new one-hour shows before going to Edinburgh.

James Acaster presents his show “Represent”.

He has appeared on The John Bishop Show, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats and can be heard regularly on The Josh Widdicombe Show of XFM.

Also on the bill, award-winning comedian Diane Spence presents her new stand-up show about love, money and DIY. It is called “Power Tool” and is based on her experiences of 2014, when she was trying to find/make a dream house, despite being unable to afford it, and being wretched at DIY.

On July 30 Castle Comedy presents three of its favourite headline acts in one spectacular Bedfringe show.

Opening the show is Jarred Christmas. Jarred has appeared on TV shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Russell Howard’s Good News.

Next up is Zoe Lyons. With a mixture of silliness, satire and caustic one liners, she has just appeared on The John Bishop Show on BBC One as well as Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Mock The Week and The Wright Stuff .

Finally, the show will be closed by Bob Mills. With over 30 years at the top of the UK circuit, TV viewers may recognise him from his ‘90s TV show In Bed with MeDinner’ and Win, Lose or Draw on ITV.

He is now a regular on TalkSport radio and BBC 5Live’s Fighting Talk.

The July 9 show at The Ent Shed starts at 8.15pm and tickets are £8 or £16 with pre show meal & glass of wine.

The July 30 show at The Quarry Theatre starts at 8pm and tickets are £10. To book call 07736 060541 or visit www.castlecomedy.co.uk
