The musical enjoyed record-breaking sold-out runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Savoy Theatre in London before heading out on tour.

Funny Girl brought global fame to Barbra Streisand 50 years ago and boasts some of the most popular songs in film and theatre history, including People and Don’t Rain On My Parade.

Described by The Times as “iconic, legendary, laugh-out-loud,” it tells the story of Fanny Brice, whose vocal talents and comedic ability see her rise from Brooklyn music hall singer to Broadway star.

Sheridan Smith will reprises her smash hit performance as Fanny Brice. Her other theatre work includes Hedda Gabler at the Old Vic, Flare Path at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, for which she won an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress and Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre, for which she won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She has also been a favourite on television in shows including Jonathan Creek, Gavin & Stacey, Larkrise to Candleford and The Royle Family.
