Monday night jazz continues at the Bedford Arms, with a couple of the UK’s most in-demand jazz musicians.

Saxophonist Nathaniel Facey and bassist Oli Hayhurst will perform on Monday September 21 at 8.30pm.

Nathaniel, graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, has established a strong reputation in the UK jazz scene as part of the MOBO award-winning jazz group Empirical.

Co-leading the contemporary group, Nathaniel has recorded five studio albums and won several awards.

In past interviews, Nathaniel has spoken about his early obsession with jazz music, backtracking through the genre’s best records and filling his bedroom with them.

Oli has spent over a decade performing with various award-winning ensembles, from playing with the prolific Gilad Atzmon to opening for Bob Dylan.

He has been widely praised in the press for his exceptional bass playing through working with a diverse range of artists.

Both jazz stars will come together for the Bedford Arms weekly event, which is run by Mark Hale.

Entry is free, but a suggested donation of £5 is advised when a collection is made during the first of two sets, so that the musicians can get paid. Music starts at 8.30pm.
