Jason Donovan is returning to Milton Keynes Theatre with Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, in which he will perform in the role of Tick for the third time.
Based on the smash-hit movie, the feel-good international hit sensation tells the heart-warming story of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus and head off out into the bush on a search for love and friendship.
With a dazzling array of outrageous costumes and a hit parade of dance floor classics including I Will Survive, Hot Stuff, Finally, Boogie Wonderland, Go West, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and I Love The Nightlife, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert returns to Milton Keynes Theatre due to overwhelming popular demand.
Speaking about his part in the show, Jason said: “I like to work, and when a role like this comes along and it’s a familiar role and the audience love it I think, why not do it again.
Jason says his most embarrassing onstage mishap occurred during one of his performances as Tick when he forgot to put his pants on over a skin coloured body suit, but he said: “I don’t fall over too often. Some nights you hit the notes and some times you don’t, that’s what live theatre is. But the whole show has a feelgood factor and great moments. love and friendship, and the show is filled with outrageous costumes and a hit parade of dancefloor favourites.”
He added: “The costumes are great for the audience, but from our perspective it can be exhausting, the changes are relentless, the costumes are a challenge.”
The show runs from Monday February 1 to Saturday February 6. Call 0844 871 7652 or visit www.atgtickets.com/miltonkeynes to book.
