Internationally renowned guitarist Gilad Hekselman comes to Bedford on Thursday, November 10, for a unique performance.

Conscia Jazz, the Bedford based jazz promotion and education company, is bringing Gilad to the Pavilion in Bedford Park as part of its current series of concerts. The event will feature a 15 to 30-minute Q&A session between the artist and the audience in the second set, designed to help break down the barrier between musicians and their audiences.

Gilad Hekselman has been developing a reputation as one of the most promising guitarists in New York since his arrival in 2004. After only a few years, the native Israeli has shared the stage with some of the greatest artists in the New York jazz scene including Chris Potter, Mark Turner, John Scofield and Anat Cohen.

Gilad has played all the major jazz clubs in New York including the Blue Note, The Jazz Standard, Dizzy’s Club and Smalls. He is constantly touring world-wide and has played most noteworthy jazz festivals including Montreux, North Sea, Montreal and San Francisco.

This event starts at 8pm, with doors opening at 7.40pm. Tickets cost £25.95, which includes a grazing board which will be served in the interval. There is a fully licensed bar serving wine and beer.

Due to the size of the venue, there is a maximum of 30 tickets available. Visit www.conscia.org to book.
