Festival to celebrate freshest writing talent in Bedford

Run by local companies LifeBox Theatre and No Loss Productions, StageWrite 2017 promises another four-day festival combining the best in new writing from emerging writers from the area and beyond.

Harri Mardlin, one of the creative directors of LifeBox Theatre, said: “StageWrite is Bedford’s only annual new writing festival for theatre, and we are absolutely delighted that it’s happening again this year. We’ve really enjoyed reading the plays submitted and making the selection for our final line up.”

Two performances will take place each evening, and will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the writers, directors and actors.

The work of several local writers will be performed, Previous plays from the festival have gone on to be developed and performed to sell out audiences at Bedfringe and also in London and at Reading Fringe Festival.

StageWrite will take place at The Place Theatre, Bradgate Road, Bedford, from Wednesday March 29 to Saturday April 1, each evening at 7.30pm.
