The visit wassponsored by Love Bedford, which represents 575 businesses in the town centre, and include dthe delegates taking a trip on the John Bunyan Boat and making a tour of The Higgins Bedford museum during their stay in this area on Thursday and Friday.
Christina Rowe, Love Bedford Business Improvement District (BID) director, said: “We have so much to offer here in Bedford and it is important that town centre businesses make the most of those opportunities.
“Delegates on this visit will be given Love Bedford goody bags containing information and offers from the town centre shops and restaurants.”
The delegates were also due to visit Moore Place Hotel in Aspley Guise during their three-day visit to the region.
Bedford Swan general manager Dominic Mills said: “This is the second national tourism event we have hosted at this hotel this year – we held another in July when guests went on the community boat.
“That was at the expense of our hotel and we are glad to have the help of sponsorship from Love Bedford for this second event.”
Mr Mills added: “Tourism is vital to Bedford and we are delighted to be able to work with the town’s top attractions to make sure people make our town a destination for day trips, overnight stays and holidays.”
