To mark his return he has released a free download single titled Finn. Titled in honour of his grandfather, ‘Finn’ is a song of hope for better tolerance for those of different, beliefs, race and circumstances.

Drawn from personal experience and family history Ben weaves a tale highlighting that these problems are the same the world over and do not change with the passing of time. It is available from Ben’s Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/benjaminfolkethomasFor the tour he will be joined by his band – Johannes Mattsson on bass guitar Jonas Abrahamsson on drums and Henning Sernhede on electric and acoustic guitars. They make their first ever appearance at The Stables on Tuesday 19 April.

Ben built a substantial following in and around London before relocating back to his native Sweden to be with his band and record his third album Rogue State Of Mind.

Appearances on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, Bob Harris’ Sunday night show, several major festivals, and solo and band UK tours have helped increase his popularity way beyond the confines of the capital and taken his music to new audiences.

Taking his inspiration from ‘sad guys with guitars’ - including Warren Zevons, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, Ben’s narrative storytelling songwriting displays a depth of experience and maturity. Complemented by his highly accomplished finger-style guitar and distinctive vocal style he is an electrifying performer whether solo or fronting his band. “Ben can really hold an audience,” says Whispering Bob Harris after seeing him perform at Fairport’s Cropredy Convention “Catch his show if you can and enjoy his instrumental virtuosity, sophisticated songwriting, and passionate vocals.”

Ben and his band will be appearing at the Stables in Wavendon on Tuesday 19 April.
