Stunning cars worth more than £5 million made up Supercar Sunday at Sharnbrook- and then descended on Bedford town centre.
Supercar Sunday was another hugely successful day at The Sharnbrook Hotel & VesuviO with over 120 supercars of varying ages and horsepower filling the car park.
Attendees at the Sharnbrook’s third car show of the year were treated to a plethora of exotica of all marques - from a classic Ferrari 250GTE to a stunning Ford GT as well as a couple of extreme Porsches and outrageous Lamborghinis.
Lotus was the guest marque for the show and they had a wonderful display on the Amalfi Suite patio. Oakley Design drew huge attention with a one off Mercedes SLS and a one off Lamborghini Aventador with a gold flake pearlescent green paint.
Vogue Auto Design of Wellingborough’s display of wide bodied Porsches attracted a lot of attention and the club displays by Porsche Club GB and TVR Northants made for a great day for petrol heads and enthusiasts.
This year the show including a drive out ‘cruise’ at 3pm with over 30 cars creating a convoy. They drove around the outskirts of Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire and culminated with what became known as a Supercar Flashmob at Libby’s Piazza in Bedford town centre.
Ciro Ciampi, general manager said: “We would like to thank all show car owners that support our event and make it the success it is.
“The flashmob certainly turned a lot of heads as we drove through the town as well as the tremendous thunder from the collective of engines. Parking up gave any fortunate Bedfordians the chance to get up close and personal with some cars you’ll only ever see on posters!”
