Golf day details announced in Bedford Today-backed £400,000 campaign to refurbish endoscopy unit.

Teeing up your sporting plans for the summer?

Then make a diary date for June 19, when the Bedfordshire Golf Club in Stagsden will host the annual Bedford Hospitals Charity Golf Day.

It's in aid of the Times & Citizen-backed appeal to raise £400,000 to refurbish the endoscopy unit.

Teams of four can book their places for £200, with the event using the
stableford format where the best two scores on each hole count towards a side's final total.

Companies can also sponsor a hole for £40 per green or tee.

Brian Woodrow, charity chairman, said: "This has always been a very successful day for us, and great fun for everyone who takes part.

"People come back year after year which helps us to have a good atmosphere, but there will be spaces for new players too."
