Times & Citizen photographer Tracey Goodacre marks the event with a visit to Wild Britain

THERE has never been a better time to visit Bedfordshire's butterfly and conservation park which this week has been marking National Save Our Butterflies Week which runs until this Sunday, July 27.

Wild Britain, formerly Bedford Butterfly Park, is based in Wilden and offers a comprehensive display of butterflies at every stage of their development as well as an assortment of bugs, creepy crawlies and a new hedgehog play trail for youngsters.

Times & Citizen photographer Tracey Goodacre captured a few of the rare species on display at the centre.

Wild Britain is open daily from 10am until 5pm throughout the summer; tickets cost £6 for adults £4.50 for children.

Today's Vote

Can marathon runner Paula Radcliffe and badminton star Gail Emms win Olympic gold for Bedford?
Paula's injury and the quality of Gail's opponents might make it tough.
I'm backing Paula to fulfil her dream at last.
Gail must do it after her fabulous first round win with Nathan Robertson.
Come on girls! You both can do it!
