Village celebrates 60th anniversary of event with fun weekend for all the family

Visitors came from far and wide to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of Bromham Show at the weekend.

The popular event, which started as a flower show, was built around an exciting weekend of fun attractions for all the family.

Events started with a Race Night organised in collaboration with the parish council, plus two classical concerts on Saturday, and a teddy bear's picnic.

The main show on Sunday was opened by a guest presenter from BBC 3 Counties Radio and included a classic/sports car run finishing at the showground.

Other highlights included a family pram power walk, balloon race, stilt walkers, sports demonstrations, and a range of games and exhibits including flowers and vegetables which were displayed in the village hall.

New attractions for the diamond anniversary included a rodeo bull ride, bungee bouncing and crazy golf.

Are you feeling the pinch in the ongoing credit crunch?
Too right, food and energy bills are hurting the most.
As long as I don't lose my job I'm just about OK
