RUGBY LEAGUE: Bedford Tigers fielded an enthusiastic development side in the annual Midlands Nines tournament as they won their group before losing out in the semi-finals last weekend.

Tigers lost out to eventual winners Loughborough University after sweeping New Ravens and Coventry Dragons A aside in the group stages.

The Bedford squad included Ben Pecorini, Ben Strathern, Robbie Burke, Leigh Pickard and Katy Perry.
