Star Club celebrates stellar crew

Star Club members celebrated winning the Britannia Cup at this year’s Henley Royal Regatta at a recent dinner at the Club.

Club President, David Dixon, hailed the crew’s achievement and paid tribute to the coaching team of Pete Mulkerrins and Andy Smith, whose Henley record over the last three years has included two semi-finals and two finals.

The winning crew of Will Eason, Leon Taylor, Dave Kempsell, Alex Miller and Cox Chris Kingston were joined on the night by the Bedford Star Rowing Club winning crew of 1986 of Pete Mulkerrins, Kevan Armstrong, Jonny Singfield, Richard White and cox Haydn Bass.
