A local charity has six London Marathon places available and is now welcoming applications to fill them.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance is seeking runners wishing to take part in the Virgin London Marathon on behalf of the charity and is now inviting supporters to apply for next year’s event.
Applications are now open to all those who wish to take part in the 26.2 mile race which takes place on Sunday, April 13, 2014 on behalf of the charity - but places are limited.
Deputy fundraising co-ordinator Catherine Sheppard, who will be co-ordinating the charity’s entrants for 2014’s Virgin London Marathon, said: “We have six places available and we would love to give these places to people who have a strong desire to run on behalf of the EAAA and raise money to keep our life-saving service operating across the region, day and night.
“We’re looking for people who are passionate about the charity, perhaps someone who’s had a personal experience with EAAA or has an innovative outlook to fundraising.
“All we ask for in return is that runners who gain one of our places raise at least £2,000 for us.”
All applicants will need to agree to a set of terms and conditions when they apply and all will need to complete an application form stating why they wish to take part on behalf of the charity.
To apply for a place on behalf of the East Anglian Air Ambulance contact Catherine Sheppard via email at email@example.com or call 01473 745007 to request an application form.
Completed forms must be received by Monday, October 28 and successful participants will be notified by Monday, November 4 in order for them to prepare their training schedule and begin their fundraising.
