As the curtain comes down on another Greene King IPA Championship season, Bedford Blues will be doing all that they can to ensure that their fans leave Goldington Road happy following their final game of the season against Nottingham.

A game against their old foes in front of a large home crowd will be all of the motivation that the players need as they look to finish the season with bang.

Looking ahead to the game, Blues Director of Rugby Mike Rayer said: “It’s been a challenging season for us with a number of games that we should have won going against us, but the lads are determined to finish on a high.

“We’ve got a great bunch of players who have worked hard all season and shown great camaraderie both on and off the field. Some of them will be saying farewell after this fixture so everyone wants to make sure that we send our passionate and loyal fans home happy.”

The Blues make a number of changes from the team that played Doncaster last week with Ollie Dodge starting at centre and Darryl Veenendaal making his 150th appearance for the club at scrum half. TJ Harris and Phil Boulton start in the front row while Josh Buggea comes in at openside flanker.
