Bedford Blues return to Greene King IPA Championship action this weekend with a trip to table-topping London Scottish on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues head to West London with a few points to prove and a bucket full of pride to restore.

Speaking about the upcoming fixture, Blues defence coach Ian Vass said: “Last weekend wasn’t great viewing for all of us, supporters included, so we need to set about our work full of vigor and intent.

“This group is pretty new to each other and will take time to gel both in attack and defence. Small lapses were ruthlessly punished last weekend and this week we face another huge challenge albeit against an opponent with a slightly different approach.

“London Scottish as we are well aware are in a pretty good place right now, so it’s up to us to throw the gauntlet down and carry the fight to them. It’s going to be a tall order and we are going to have show plenty of guts and character out there. If we play to our potential then who knows.”
