As the Greene King IPA Championship season enters its final few rounds, Bedford Blues return to action with a Friday night fixture against the Cornish Pirates.

This will be the third clash between the two sides this season with each result so far going the way of the home team and Bedford will be hoping for much of the same.

Games between the two sides tend to be exciting affairs with each match this season producing a different dramatic result.

The last meeting saw Bedford cling on to a 41-40 victory to give them the upper hand in one of the most entertaining fixtures of the season thus far.

A win for the Blues would elevate the home side above the Pirates in the table and would leave a climb into the top half a real possibility with only four Championship matches remaining.

Blues Director of Rugby Mike Rayer makes just two changes to the side that tasted defeat against Yorkshire Carnegie with Phil Boulton and Josh Buggea returning to the pack with James Currie and Joe Vandermolen moving to the replacement bench where they are joined by the returning Tom Willams.
