Ampthill RFC have confirmed another two new additions to their squad for the 2016-17 season, with Sam Baker and Micky Wilson agreeing moves to Dillingham Park.
Winger Baker, 24, was a member of Worcester’s academy while representing Stourbridge in National One and Two before joining Cinderford, where he scored 24 tries in 88 appearances.
Capped for Gloucestershire at U18, U20 and Seniors level, he made his debut for England Counties in this summer’s tour to Canada.
On the move, he said: “I am looking forward to joining up with the squad at Ampthill, a club with ambition, and working with Paul Turner on my game.”
Meanwhile, Wilson, 27, has left Esher for Ampthill, with the fly-half capped for Italy at every age group and his senior debut for Italy A came at scrum half in the IRB Nations Cup in 2009.
He was a member of Saracens academy where he made his 1st XV debut aged 17 and has been aprofessional with Viadana, Aironi and Rovigo.
His CV includes multiple appearances in the Heineken Cup, the European Challenge Cup, the Guinness Premiership and the Magners League as well as 50+ appearances in National One for Esher.
He said: “I am excited to be joining Ampthill and am looking forward to improving my game under Paul Turner and contributing in any way I can to the club.
