Pre-season training has started for the Bedford Swifts and, after falling just short of promotion last year, has been increased to twice a week.
Other than wanting to be the fittest team in Midlands 4 East, training has also increased due to demands of new coaches Andy Champ and Lee Crawford.

Thanks go to Sam Richbell for his services over the past four years and also to Swifts’ sponsors – The Standard, Higham Roofing and Creative Design Windows – without whom Swifts 2s may not have been able to win the Estrella Dam League last season.

Pre-season friendlies start in August, and anyone who wants to join the club should visit Bedford International Athletic Stadium on Wednesdays at 6.45pm or Saturday at 9.45am.

The campaign begins with a pre-season friendly against Bletchley on Saturday, August 29.
