Special K’s earn victory

Rugby: Kempston claimed a 15-5 home friendly victory over a young and feisty Stewart & Lloyds IIIs side on Saturday.

In a highly competitive and occasionally niggly match Kempston scored the only points of the first half through a Lewis Perrin penalty.

Stewart & Lloyds struck back early in the second half with a well worked try, but Kempston stuck to their task and managed to edge ahead with tries by prop Jim Barry and man-of-the-match lock Josh Lewin, with Perrin converting one.

This week Kempston host Bedford Queens IIs in the Waggledance League.
