Second-straight league win for S&C

Rugby: Sharnbrook & Colworth won their second East Midlands Courage Best League game out of three with a 28-22 victory at home to Stewart and Lloyds on Saturday.

The hosts made a slow start as they trailed 12-0 after eight minutes, but recovered well as Ed Strand and Adam Griffins went over, with Barry Stuart adding both sets of extras to take the lead.

After the break, Lloyd were back in front, but Strand touched down again, with Stuart converting, while Jack Judge dotted down from close range for the crucial score and Stuart’s boot did the rest.

Sharnbook are away to Northampton Heathens this week.
